VPN Setup Instructions & Mapping Network Drives
Sometimes you will need to connect to Chatham’s network when off campus via a VPN. This is needed if you have software that needs to connect to our network for a license, or you may need to connect to a network drive found on our network. Always run VPN first when off campus if you need to access needed software, or network drives.
Windows Instructions
Installing Software
1. Go to https://utm.chatham.edu/ using the Chrome browser.
2. The Sophos User Portal login window opens and enter your Chatham username (first part of email address only) and password.
4. Once logged in, click VPN on the left menu. Then click Download for Windows.
5. Install the Windows VPN Client, and follow prompts to install.
Connecting To VPN
1. Once installed, return to the Sophos Portal page (https://utm.chatham.edu) and click on Download for Windows, macOS, Linux to download your personal VPN Configuration file. Save this file in a location that you know where to find later.
2. Open Sophos Connect from the Desktop shortcut, or taskbar tray icon, to open the Sophos VPN Client.
3. If this is your first time using this software click Import Connection and navigate to the Configuration File that was downloaded previously.
