Create Supplier Request

Overview

Any employee can request a new supplier to be set up in Workday. When requesting a new Supplier, enter as much information as you have, including the business name, contact information, and a name, phone number, or email address of the contact you have for that business, if applicable.

Create Supplier Request

  1. From the Workday search bar, enter Create Supplier Request and select the task.
  2. Enter the Supplier Name.
  3. Scroll down, click More, select the “Attachments”
  4. Select a file on the attachment tab, upload the W-9
  5. Click Submit

Next: This task will now route for approval to the relevant group(s). Please be aware that this is a request to create the supplier, this step alone does not create a supplier immediately for use.
