Students, staff, and faculty are eligible for an email account provided by Microsoft 365. Each Microsoft 365 email account has a varied of productivity tools, which also include:
- Outlook (email)
- OneDrive (file storage)
- Word
- Excel
- PowerPoint
- OneNote
- SharePoint
- Teams
Installing Microsoft 365
Chatham University allows users to download the entire Microsoft Office Suite onto their personal machines and up to 5 devices. Go to office.com and sign in with your Chatham account. In the upper right, users will see the Install Office button.

Email on Phone
Chatham users are encouraged to set up email on their phones. Directions depend on which cell phone model you own. Please contact IT Support Services for assistance.
Student Accounts
After a student graduates or leave the University, the email account will remain active. Any student who is graduating is allowed to keep their Chatham email, but they will not have access to the Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft License Agreement for Alumni Accounts). If the account has not been accessed for 1 year, the account will be automatically deactivated and removed. Accessing the account means logging into it via the web client or mail application client.
