Step 1: Open System Settings
- Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner.
- Choose System Settings.
Step 2: Go to Privacy & Security
- In the sidebar, select Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down and click Screen & System Audio Recording.
Step 3: Allow Microsoft Teams
- In the Screen & System Audio Recording list, find Microsoft Teams.
- If it’s not listed, open Teams and try to share your screen once—this prompts macOS to request permission.
- Toggle ON the switch next to Microsoft Teams.
Step 4: Restart Microsoft Teams
- Close Teams completely (right-click the icon in the Dock → Quit).
- Then reopen Teams and try sharing your screen again.
Step 5 (Optional): Check Accessibility Permissions
If Teams still can’t control or show your screen:
- Go back to Privacy & Security.
- Click Accessibility.
- Make sure Microsoft Teams is enabled here too.
Step 6: Remove and Re-add (if needed)
If screen sharing still fails:
- Go back to Screen Recording → toggle Teams OFF.
- Reopen Teams and try to share again — macOS will prompt you to re-allow access.
