A: MFA protects your account even if your password is stolen or guessed. It significantly reduces the risk of unauthorized access.

Q: What authentication methods are available?

A: - Microsoft Authenticator app (recommended) - Text message (SMS) - Phone call Hardware token (if issued by IT) Tip: Using the Microsoft Authenticator app is faster and more reliable than SMS or phone calls.

 

Q: When will I be prompted for MFA?

A: You may be asked to verify your identity when: - Logging in from a new device or location Accessing sensitive systems or data - As required by security policy (e.g., periodic re-verification)

Q: Can I reduce the number of prompts?
