Manually Adding Chatham Secure: Windows

If you find that your Windows laptop is having issues connecting to Chatham Secure please follow the following steps.

1. Forget Chatham Secure 

  1. Click the Windows Key and search for Wi-Fi.  Click Wi-Fi settings

  2. Click Manage Known Networks
  3. Click Forget next to Chatham Secure. 

  4. Close Settings.

 

2. Manually Add Chatham Secure 

  1. Search in Windows for Control Panel, and open. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  2. Change view to Category if not done so already. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  3. Navigate to: Network and Internet -> Network and Sharing Center -> Set up a new connection or network 
     
  4. Click Manually connect to a wireless network, click NextUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  5. Enter Chatham Secure as Network name.  Select WPA2-Enterprise as Security Type.  Click Next.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  6. Click Change connection settings.

  7. In the following Properties window click the Security Tab then click SettingsUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
     
  8. In Settings uncheck Verify the server’s identity.  Then click OK.
     
  9. In Properties click on Advanced settings

  10. In Advanced settings check Specify authentication mode.  Then select User authentication from the drop-down menu.  Then click OKUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  11. You may now click Close for the Manually connect to a wireless network window. 

  12. Attempt to connect to Chatham Secure.  Use your Chatham log in credentials to connect to the network.
