Enroll your macOS device with the Intune Company Portal app to gain secure access to Chatham University email, files, and apps. Chatham University requires you to enroll your device so you can access proprietary data. After your device is enrolled, it becomes managed. Chatham University can assign policies and apps to the device through a provider, such as Intune. To get continuous access to Chatham University information on your device, you must set up your device to match Chatham’s policy settings.
Instructions
Check for Previous Profiles and Remove Them
1. Click Apple in the upper left corner.
2. Select System Preferences
3. Select Profiles in the lower right corner (If you do not see the Profiles button, please skip to the Installing Intune Section)
4. If you see profiles listed, please click on the one labeled MDM and then click the minus in the lower left corner.
5. If the profiles do not uninstall, please do not proceed and contact the Helpdesk at (412) 365-1112 or support@chatham.edu
Installing Intune
1. Go to https://bit.ly/2FHcsUj
2. Under step #1 click – Enroll My Mac
3. An install package will download to your device
4. Double-click the package to install – click continue and complete the installation
5. After the installation is complete you can move the installer package to the trash
6. Navigate to your Apps by Clicking Finder>Applications
7. Click on Company Portal Application
8. Click Sign in enter your Chatham email address and password
9. After logging in you will be taken to the following screen, click Begin
10. Then click Continue
11. Next click Download Profile
12. When the Management Profile window opens, Click Install
13. The Management Profile – Chatham University opens, Click Install
Enter your password when prompted, but remember to click Deny for any keychain prompts
14. Several Profiles will install. Once you have 3 green checkmarks you can click Done.
15. Select your appropriate Device Category from the dropdown list and click Done
16. Verify that your machine is in compliance, if it is not you will be prompted to run updates
17. Click on the Apps Tab to quickly download commonly used and proprietary software from Chatham
