Zoom is an online meeting and videoconferencing tool. It allows users to video chat, share screens, and more. It is both integrated with Brightspace and a standalone tool. Please note - The University is asking all staff and faculty to utilize Microsoft Teams for internal virtual meetings Transitioning to Microsoft Teams will help save cost and eliminate redundancy. If you are having issues updating Zoom, please follow these instructions:

Q. I need to upgrade Zoom, but I can not.
A. You are receiving this error when trying to open Zoom on a PC for a meeting:
Please try this first:
1. Click on the Search icon (magnifying glass) in the taskbar at the bottom of the laptop screen. Type ‘Software Center’ in the search bar.
2. Click on Software Center App to launch.
3. There should be a Zoom icon available in the Software Center when it appears:
4. Click on the Zoom Icon and then Install.
NOTE: It will take a few minutes as it is removing/uninstalling the older version of Zoom and installing the current version. When it is done, the ‘install’ button will change to ‘uninstall’, and the Status will show Installed:
The Zoom update is now complete. You should be able to open Zoom as usual again. Remember to click Sign In > ‘SSO and use Chatham for the company domain.
