How to Use Padlet in Your Classes
Overview
This article explains how to use Padlet in your online classes. Padlet is a digital board that lets you post content online to facilitate discussions, collaborate, make presentations, and share with your classmates. You can create your own Padlet or post on an already-created one. Follow the directions in the assignment guidelines in your class.
Instructions
Introduction to Padlet
Access
Go to https://padlet.com/chathamuniversity and click on “log in with Microsoft”. Enter your Chatham username and password.

Post
Add a post to a pre-populated Padlet by double-tapping the (+) button on the board. If you’re using a desktop, you can also type C to open a new post. Be sure to follow the directions in the Padlet, including example posts.
Comment
To comment on a post, click the area below the post that says, ‘Add Comment.’

If you are logged into your Padlet account, your name and profile icon will appear above every comment. Otherwise, your name will be displayed as ‘Anonymous.’ For grading purposes, it is important to add your name to your posts.
Get Creative
You don’t have to stick to text comments. You can add images, GIFs, videos, and more. Click the (+) icon next to the ‘Add comments’ box, and an attachment picker will appear.

Edit Comments
Comments can be edited or deleted by the commenter AND by the creator or administrator of the board. To edit a comment, click the vertical three-dot ellipsis button (…) on the right side of the comment. From the menu, you can choose Edit comment or Delete comment.
