Overview
This user guide will assist you in requesting a compensation change for an employee.
Request Compensation Change
- From the Workday Homepage Search bar, enter and select the employee you would like to request a compensation change for.
- Click on the Actions button under the employee’s name/title, navigate to Compensation, and select Request Compensation Change.
- Select the Effective Date or select the Use Next Pay Period checkbox to automatically populate this date.
- The Employee will automatically populate.
- Click OK.
- The Request Compensation Change screen will display.
- Click on the Pencil icon, in the Effective Date & Reason section to make edits.
- Using the Prompt icon, select the Reason Code of Request Compensation Change>Base Salary Change. Select the correct Reason.
- Select the checkmark, to save your information.
- Under the appropriate section (hourly or salary), click the Add Button
- Click the Prompt Icon and choose All Compensation Plans – Select the correct option
- Enter the new amount
- Select Frequency
- Select the checkmark, to save your information
- Click Submit
- Add any in the Comments box. This includes approvals documented outside of the system and click Submit.
Note: You can also click Save for Later to save your inputs and return to the task later. Cancel ends the task completely
